Baseball was his number one passion from childhood and he didn’t stop playing after enrolling at the University. He got the biggest opportunity when Chicago Cubs drafted him in the 74th round of the 1993 MLB Draft.

In 1998, Jason debuted himself as one of the players of the Chicago Cubs after spending five seasons in the minor leagues. However, in his rookie season, he only played seven games and when his contract ended that same year, the Cubs did not re-sign him.

After ending the contract with the Chicago Cubs, Jason became a free agent. In 2000, Minnesota Twins offered him a two-year contract. From 2000-to 2001, Jason played more than 50 games for that team. And when his contract ended, he again became a free agent.
